Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and XBMC (I hope this is the right part of the forum for this kind of question) but I have a Acer Aspire Revo with xbmc and I have trouble connecting it to my qnap (NAS) using smb. I can find the qnap using browse and I select a share on it but xmbc just sits there and shows "Working" and a moving circle in the bottom right hand corner. It stays that way for hours. I have yet to enter a login name or password.

Any ideas for a noob like me?

Thank you. I will look into it. I just don't know how to get a console window up

Reeeealy new to the world of linux as you might have guessed.

Is there any way to get out of the "waiting" mode when trying to add a video source thru the menu? Without rebooting that is...

What is the reason that browsing for the share doesn't work?
