Wondering if it would ever be possible for XBMC to be able to see attachments in MKV files. For each movie I have a movie.nfo, movie, tbn, movie-fanart.jpg, and movie-trailer file. All of these files can be attached to the main movie file using mkvmerge and it would be very convenient if XBMC could read all the attachments.

Interesting perspective, I suspect the encoding would limit the type of hardware to cutting edge equipment.. even if it ran in the background and thinking about XBMC as a media centre it already goes above and beyond that description. Many messages suggest XBMC should have a browser, editor, pdf reader, art editor, turn off the lights, put the bread in the toaster, put the cat out..etc... Perhaps one day, but with other media centre software available and different formats, don't hold your breath.
If you can make a good case for this, suggest it in 'Features' and see what kind of support there is.
