Would an available AppleTV SDK remove jailbreak requirement?
#1
Latest AppleTV rumors have an AppleTV SDK being announced http://www.macrumors.com/2013/02/13/appl...ls-for-tv/

Would such an SDK remove the Jailbreak requirement?

I guess there would be two considerations:
  1. Technical: Will the necessary API's be available?
  2. Political: Would Apple approve XBMC for their "App Store"?

The Loop's Jim Dalrymple has refuted Misek's claim of an event scheduled for next month. So no planned SDK, at least next month anyway.

It wouldn't remove the JB requirement (all other iOS devices have the SDK already and need the JB anyways) - but it might make developing XBMC for atv2 a bit easier (as its a bit blindly atm without proper debug possibilities...).
