I got win 8 and I just got the haupauge WinTV -hvr 2250 I want to setup my tv card with nextpvr and with xbmc Frodo 12.2 how do I do this so I can watch and record tv on xbmc?

Read the wiki and docs for both NPVR and XBMC. That would be your first step. Below would be an outline of the steps:
- Install NPVR
- Setup the tuner and guide info in NPVR
- Install XBMC with NPVR addon.
- Enable NPVR addon in XBMC then configure liveTV options.
- Look thru the NPVR and XBMC forums for tips and tweaks for any issues you may encouter (This may include downloading patches to NPVR and the NPVR addon).
