So i would post this in the official android xbmc remote forum but i think its specific to my atv2

The ip keeps a changing and the xbmx android remote app does not auto find it, like the ios one.

Any ideas on how to stop the atv2 xbmc from changing ip all the time

finally.. do you guys have a video that shows exactly how fast an atv2 experience should be with xbmc

The best way would be to assign a static IP address for the ATV2 on your router.

There are various youtube videos that show ATV2 performance, but it can depend on a number of factors. The later iOS versions on the ATV2 keep slowing things down for us, though.
