Greetings, all.

Kodi 19.1 crashes on startup after updating Arabic language file
resource.language.ar_sa-9.0.16

I can't run Kodi
Only after manually deleting the language file

resource.language.ar_sa-9.0.16

I used the previous version of this file
resource.language.ar_sa-9.0.15

now working
I turned off the auto update until the problem was resolved.

Thanks, but there is no crash in that log. It looks like you exited normally.

Also, you have resource.language.ar_sa / Origin = repository.xbmc.org / Version = 9.0.15 installed. But we need to see the crash with v9.0.16

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't see any obvious problems.

But I tried to replicate your setup, and it crashed for me also when loading the arabic language.

I think @Fuzzard and I located the problem.

Please try out the new version I just pushed to the repo: 9.0.17
It might be a while before it hits the mirrors.

There are no Arabic speaking team members, so it won't get done until someone in the community volunteers
