Hi,

Recently migrated to XBMC(latest svn + rapier 2 skin) and 1 thing that is missing is a "Sort tv shows by air date".
Here is what i tried already:

1. Created smart playlist to select episodes that have been aired in the last month.
Then set the "ORDER BY" option to First aired.

2. Opened the playlist to find out that it still unsorted?

3. Edited xml files to link to the playlist from the Home menu -> Tv shows

4. Modified "custom_SortMethods.xml" in the skin to allow for date sorting in Episodes view.
This works well but when you enter the main tv shows view it will sort all episodes by date while you would want a sort by episode number there.

Any ideas on how to make this work?

Because it seems that it should be possible with just the adding of a smart playlist(has the sort option in there).

Almost sounds like a skin problem. Have you checking in the skinning forums. I think the Rapier skin has its own sub forum dedicated to it, too.

Thanks for the response, tried to create a smart playlist with the PM3 skin and it worked!
Will post it on the rapier2 sub forum, so that they can hopefully resolve it
