This guide is for installing Ubuntu 9.10 and XBMC on your AppleTV internal drive.
If you want to go back to your ATV OS (OSX) you will need to do a backup first, or adapt the guide so you don't remove the OSX partitions.

Thanks alot for the walk through. I have already had everything setup and running for some time now, but its nice to have a straight forward walk through in the likely event that I feel like rebuilding.

I still have one issue left unresolved. Do you know have a good walk through for getting the atv remote to work in 9.10? I am currently using the XBMC remote for android. It works great, but would like to get the atv remote to work so I can finally feel like Im finished. Ive never been one to leave well enough alone, when it comes to computers.

Sorry, haven't tried to use the Apple remote..
I prefer mce remote

Hi Banan,

I'm just wondering if you were able to get AC3 audio ever working with your setup (be it over hdmi or spdif).

I'm only able to get stereo over spdif to work.
