i don't really see the point in using it if it only accepts mono streams (perhaps to let mono streams sound like stereo?) but it would certainley nice to see some ''extended panning'' stuff :d
it would be pretty easy to setup xbmc to pan music from front to back and left to right in 5 speaker output mode if that's what you're asking.
