Hey XBMCer's,
Got some bits for a build, so far the Antec NSK2480B mATX case, Corsair 2x2GB DDR3 1600MHz CL8 RAM, ATHLON II X4 3.1 GHZ CPUs, the ASUS AM3 880G USB3 motherboard, a wireless keyboard/mouse combo, a couple of WD Green 2TBs and a Hauupauge HVR-2210 Tuner Card. Just trying to get some good ideas for the following:
Remote - recommended the Hauupauge MCE remote Kit (+Harmony?)
VGA Card - so far a Zotac 1GB GT430 or similar? (Fanless?)
Blu Ray Writer - no recommendations (Samsung seems ok?)
SSD - Maybe something for down the track..
I'd like to run Ubuntu 10.10 with XBMC (and MythTV for Tuners). I was also hoping for some sort of retro game emulator (preferably wireless controllers?) and possibly a windows XP install. It's primarily an XBMC machine but I'm trying to be flexible.
Any recommendations on the Remote, VGA card, Writer or SSD's as well as do's or don'ts with the install or any other info? Cheers, I'll keep ya posted!
