XBMC FTP-Server get "Kicked by Administrator" then "421 Too many users are connected"
#31
I noticed this same problem myself, but seems to be related more to client issues. I say this because I get the same problem when booted to UnleashX via softmod and FTP to the box.
#32
I have also had this problem it begun after i bought an new router.....after many hours of trying everything, and i really mean everything i finally solved it.

My router was set on 10/100 Auto, after setting this to 100Mbps it works perfect..........I´´m so happy right now!

I have the exact same log as Sweden does and i keep getting "kicked by admin" when i try to ftp to my xbmc. I have a 1.6 xbox and evox m8 plus for 1.6 bios. I was wondering if this error could possibly be caused by my modchip. The other wierd thing is that my xbmc has problems streaming from my workgroup network now. I have tried the current build and the build before it. What is really strange is that i have another xbox with the EXACT same version and it runs fine. The only thing i can think of is it is one of the follwing: 1st- modchip, 2nd- motherboard problem. These two things are the only difference between the two xboxs. What is really wierd is that i had this xbox up and running perfectly not 2 weeks ago. It just started when i put a new motherboard in it (as my old one died). This makes me wonder if it isn't the mobo, or possibly a bad modchip (i have a spiderchip 1.1). Any help to know if either of these two could cause a problem would be much appreciated!:confused2::mad:

I bought myself another xbox and took the hd from the one that has been giving me problems with ftp, now everything works just fine.

My speed over the network when uploading is always on max now, the new xbox has the same chip but the components on tha motheboard looks different.
#40
Hi guys,

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. I tried the last 3 T3CH builds and
keep getting the "Kicked by Administrator" message. Sometimes I manage to
upload > 1Gig, other times I can only upload a few hundred key before getting
kicked.

Client -> Total Commander

Tried active/passive mode
Disabled background uploads
Tried with passive mode on/off

No hints as to what is happening in the XBMC log, the
Network Services are being shut down, XBOX reboot is
required in order to successfully connect again via FTP.

FTP transfers work flawlessly using the evoxdash, but I'd
like to use XBMC as my dashboard.

Hope you can help,

Matthias.

Same problem here ... problem solved when using EvolutionX.
Xbmc FTP IS the problem .. ! "Too many users" ... "kicked by Admin" ... headache.. ! I've tried FlashFxp => Super Slow upload speed (20KBytes/s), windows Favorite pointing to "Ftp://xbox:[email protected]/ => Fast uploading (10000KBytes/s) but sometimes says "Too many Users" or "kicked by admin" ... !

EvolutionX => FlashFxp or Windows Favorite => Always High speed, never been kicked out .. !

OOps... my specs : Xbox 1.6b, soft moded....
#43
Hi all,
Don't know if it can solve your problem .. but i've made somes changes and everything is ok now..

Editing FileZilla Server.xml, i've raised the number of user (don't know if it is same as number of "unique connected user" or "number of differente login") ... but it seems to help.
Also lowered the timeout, since my network is fast... and i want idle connexion to close fast to let another one to be made.

...

5

20

60

60

...

Try it, perhaps it can help ...
#44
I'm not sure why your FTP is so slow with one connection because thats all I can get with xbmc any way but use unleash X it much faster then xbmc with ftping and copying moving and deleting files. just got into the network settings for unleash X and set the max users to 10 and if I were you I'd revert back to a back up of the original server.xml for filezilla because you dont need to edit that at all. all of those option are in its settings menu.

[quote=Honu]Hi all,

5

20

Hi,

I can confirm that increasing these values helps, the
disconnects occur less frequently. The "Kicked by ..."
problem is still present though, so this is no real fix for
the problem, at least not for me.

Matthias.
