Ok, then in regedit go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Service\Recording
and see if in the WatchedFolders key you see your rec tv folder entered twice.

With wmc not running, go ahead and delete the string from the watchfolder key leaving the watchedfolder data blank. Then restart wmc hopefully, that should reset whatever weird state it is in. Then restart serverwmc. If it still doesn't work, post the log again.

I did that. The registry entry held. I still am only showing 4 shows in WMC Server which are ones that have recorded in the last 2 hours.
Here's the log:

I just did it on my test machine and stayed blank. I wonder why it is getting reset.
You said these files are old, but they are wtv files right? Not dvr-ms?

OK, the regedit changes seem to have fixed the watched folder thing, but you have found another bug. This one is clearly mine, but why your setup has triggered this after years of people with many different setups is a mystery.
Since you are a software guy you will be able to appreciate my stupid mistake... Somewhere in your experimentation of moving these files back and forth you had called your past rec tv folder:
Recorded Tv
But currently you are calling it:
Recorded TV
Yes, that's right, its a case bug. I can't explain why it is, but somehow the old folder name has gotten stuck to these files. Its probably because its written into the wmc database this way and - since the only difference is a case difference - it is not getting updated by wmc. So wmc is sending back to swmc the old path name, and swmc is not recognizing it because of the case of that stupid little 'v'. It would seem like an idiot level programming bug like this would have been found years ago but somehow it has survived until now. So you know, lucky us.
I will obviously fix this. But I bet if you just rename your recorded tv folder to the old name 'Recorded Tv' using that same regedit path I gave you yesterday only this time use the 'RecordPath' key, you'll be good - although I hesitate to say anything for sure - the dark side of the force is clearly strong with this problem.
Let me know when you can.

Thanks for following up on all this. I made that change and it worked! All my recordings show up in WMC server now.
It is an unusual bug. I think WMC doesn't even let you specify the folder for recorded tv, just the drive (at least through the interface). I don't remember changing it, but did have my recorded tv drive go bad and when I re-created it, maybe I changed the case of the folder and WMC didn't care.
