Have a weird issue with this Plugin, i can play video when i start the plugin for first time and then all next attempts to play any video fail. Even the one that played earlier.
If i re-start xbmc again it plays the first video then fails again. Is there a fix for this.

Here's the debug log: Appreciate if anyone can help.

That's a very strange problem. It might be a bug in the PyAMF library used in the addon. Try replacing pyamf/xml.py in the addon folder with http://pastebin.com/GXHrugWF and tell me if it works.

NOTE: If you do not have this problem, don't replace the file

CBC's radio (1/2/3 and podcasts) are all available without any significant effort. If you can code an plugin would be easy!

I'd give my left nut to get a CBC podcasting and/or stream plugin. A month or so ago, they remvioed teh ability to make playlists for the audio streams. I emailed them to bitch a bout it (nicely), but never got a response. I'd emailed.mailed CBC about 10 times over the past decade, and they've always answered with a satisfactory answer.

It works for me. Try clicking Download at the top of the pastebin page, browse to the pyamf folder and save as xml.py

I was reading that I should set minimum quality to "bad" and family.ca will show up, but I don't see anywhere in the configuration settings where it gives me the option to set minimum quality.

Family.ca has a decent selection of kids shows on their website, and I would love to give the kids the ability to somehow watch them through XBMC (so they can tie up the TV instead of tying up my computer!).

I'd like this ability as well. Probably the one addon my XBMC experience is missing.

Thanks Looi.. i don't seem to have that weird issue now after replacing with this new file. Not sure
how that file got corrupted in the first place.
But i still can't play most of the videos for some reason like HGTV/Food Network etc. Will try to get a log file.

Has anybody else been having issues with getting CTV shows to play now? Everything was working yesterday but today I can't seem to get anything. I checked the logs and here is what I see (I truncated the paths to make it a bit easier to read):
Code:
22:45:50 T:139831912949504 M:1889198080   ERROR: rtmp server sent error
22:45:50 T:139831912949504 M:1889198080   ERROR: rtmp server requested close
22:45:50 T:139831912949504 M:1889198080   ERROR: CDVDPlayer::OpenInputStream - error opening [rtmp://cp181499.edgefcs.net/ondemand... playpath=mp4:hdns/CTVShows/2012/08/30/... swfurl=http://watch.ctv.ca/Flash/player.swf?themeURL=http://watch.ctv.ca/themes/CTV/player/theme.aspx]

I then tried to load the stream directly using rtmpdump and I get the following error there:
Code:
WARNING: HandShake: Type mismatch: client sent 6, server answered 9
INFO: Connected...
ERROR: rtmp server sent error
ERROR: rtmp server requested close

I'm using version 2.4 or rtmpdump and librtmp0 from a build on 2011-12-22 (The build in Debian Wheezy (testing)). I know similar errors are seen when trying to view CityTV content. Could it be that CTV has started to use DRM features in their streams as well?

EDIT:
Looking further I see that in the debug output I'm getting an "[ AccessManager.Reject ] : Access denied!" message back from the server. So it looks like some authentication information isn't being sent correctly or found correctly.

Hey looi,

I installed your plugin with no hitches but still can't seem to get HGTV.ca working. I was using andrepl plugin last and then one day all the submenu disappeared in hgtv ca. So i've tried maraj's and i would still see no categories when i click on the HGTV link. When I installed yours (from the install zip menu in XBMC) it shows all the sub menus and shows but whenever I click on a show, and just says plugin error.) I have the latest XBMC (EDEN) but I just wanted to know if I was doing something wrong. I uninstall all Canada on demand plugins correct? Then I install yours?

I'm including a log file. Thanks for your help guys.

Just wanted to add my voice to those experiencing problems. The only station I really use the plugin for is HGTV.ca (although I would also be interested in family.ca if it would be possible to get that working again!). Was working fine until a few days ago, now I can see the lists of videos, but none of them will play.

Any progress on this? No HGTV.ca is making my wife miserable (who in turn is making me miserable!).

This might not be much help, but both CTV and HGTV seem to be working for me on looi's version. My wife watched an episode of masterchef last night on CTV, and I just quickly tested a few links on hgtv and they seemed to work.

I'm wondering if maybe you need to update your librtmp? Try this one:
https://github.com/K-S-V/Scripts/downloads

If you are on windows, put the librtmp.dll in C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\system\players\dvdplayer
(or if you are on a 32bit OS, put it in C:\Program Files\XBMC\system\players\dvdplayer)

The plugin (looi version) seems to be working fine for me, but if I list shows on The History channel, 'Great Lakes Warriors' is missing. If I look it up on the history.ca website, I can play the full episode.

http://www.history.ca/video/#greatlakewa...l+episodes

Did History.ca change their site around?

Thanks...

Unfortunately even with the updated lbrtmp.dll it still gives me an error when trying to play stream.
BTW, I tried it on XBMC for my windows XP and linux mint. Both give me same exact error. I remember looi saying something about updating python, but where in xbmc would i do that?
