Just tried the no to fate build and first impressions are really good . It seems to play 720 mkv files well. I'm using it on a justop android 4.04 set top box. Try and do a more thorough test report after I have used it more.

hello im buying anew mele box that's allwinner a31 quad core with the sgx 544 graphics 2gb ram I wanted to know best full ver of xbmc to use for full internal hd decoding no external player needed here is a link to box and video of box hope I can use it the way I want to http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/...17092.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pla...yAKyteBptc
If you want XBMC to run well on it then don't buy it at all. Avoid Allwinner.

Only some hiccups on H264 TS streams and 1080p MKV.

You're right. Until, we solve this, you can watch such videos using the externalplayer support I added. I use the mele "TvdVideo" for MKV and MXplayerFree for H264TS. MX can also play MKV, but seems that TVdVideo fails reading some.

I have found a spot in LinuxRendererA10.cpp that controls the window created and a possible bug. When the Window height is > 720 it uses "Workmode Scaler" other wise it uses "Workmode Normal" So on my tablet where the height is only 600 is is using "Workmode Normal" the output looks fine; I believe that the 720p window resolution should behave the same as 1080p (which kind of works) so the code may need to be Window height is >= 720. I will test the change and if that fails, I will just force the output to be only "Workmode Normal" and do another test....
Stay tuned...
Ok this will not impact it.... this chunk of code enables/disables alpha blending according to the A10 Depends readme....
I have created a working apk without all issues mentioned above : it can be found here : http://www.4shared.com/android/SZ_QOyNt/...-baso.html .
let me knows if it works for you.
that's a shitty download link with all the popups.

Cheers
