If you did not yet: Open a trac bugreport for the windows platform - so that can be tracked for v15. Windows devs are not really available in our team.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Same problems as above on my WIn7 Pro. Slow to start, app error then all add-ons display script error. The patch version loads without error but all add-ons display script error. I tried reloading a backup copy to no avail. Same issues there. Linux versions are fine though. Pretty strange stuff going on.

The patched version does not change a single thing concerning addons, it just has a one liner in Audio Engine.

@fritsch. I hope you did not provide debug builds. symbol loading can slow down startup tremendously.

As we want that devs that debug also to have AE I think that's a good upper maximum.

it is not because the root cause is Windows' delayed dll loading. This issue must be fixed, not finding a work-around for symptoms.
