Hello XBMC devs,
You guys rock! This is the BEST software I found for my situation. My situation: ripping all my DVDs so I can keep the little plastic discs away from kids and other situations that could lead to me having to rebuy them. XBMC supports this by allowing me to have multiple audio streams, chapters, and subtitles on my movies! It's just like a DVD only without the stupid unskippable previews ever Gosh darned time. So I thank you for that.
Here's my feature suggestion - when I'm ripping my DVDs I'm taking the time to name the chapters with w/e the DVD insert flap says they're called. These chapter names show up in VLC and can be helpful in finding a particular scene quickly. So I was wondering if you could add in an option to have the OSD display the chapter names when chapters are skipped forward. (For example - when it says seeking 3/20)
That'd be so awesome!

What container/format are you using for ripping DVDs?
AFAIK this is already possible for mkv... mad-max |

It'd be handy to add names to video bookmarks too. I've got ~100 concerts and it'd be nice to use the existing bookmarks to add the next song name for easy browsing (no need to re-rip everything).

I'm using mkv. The chapters names are there - I can see them in VLC, but they don't show up in XBMC. Is there a setting i need to toggle?

Strange...I just created a test file for with own chapters and chapternames and xbmc shows them:
![]() You might check your mkvs with MediaInfo and see if you have the following tags within your file: Code: <track type="MenĂ¼">If so, it should work without problems...at least for me... Running Beta3 on Win7... mad-max |

tried it again at home last night. Didn't see it working - then again I didn't even see it say "Chapter 1" or anything. So maybe it's concluence? I have the beta on my laptop, I'll have to try and set it up this weekend to check
