Hey Jason, how about this:
1) If you have a Directory channel, and it plays something...can we maybe have it read the NFO file?
For example, I have very low budget movies that are on my SyFy channel - but I don't want these to be in my library, so i use a directory channel... but now it has no info, even though the NFO files are in the movies folder.
2) I would like to make a playboy channel. I want to make a generic "channel not available video" that is played all day, and then I interleave a hidden porn channel after, say...10pm...
The problem is not that I want to hide the channel as such, but just so that kids can't view it during the day (if people and their children visit)
Now...it would work....except for the fact that you can "skip shows"
So, Would it be possible to add a rule "No Time manipulation", "TrueTime", "NoPVR" or something like that?
This basically causes a specific channels playlist to be blocked from being skipped ahead via remote, skipping via EPG, rewinding or fast forwarding. Pause might be okay I guess, but that's your call.
I have heard of a few people in the thread that want this feature, because they want a more "Real" TV Experience... but I think it has other uses as well.
PS: This could also be a "global setting" in the options, for people that want it that way.
What do you think?

When I restarted it PTV acted like it was a new install and recreated the channel list eliminating all of the channels I had created. Can someone give me a list of the files I need to backup to prevent this from happening again?

The settings.xml and Settings2.xml is your channels setup.
