Install the Passion Repo, and install through it, that way you do not have to mannually run git on your own and will always be up to date

Will Aeon Nox SVN, which was in Passion Repo prior to the latest update of the Passion Repo add-on, be updated to Aeon Nox Git? When I look at Aeon Nox Git, in Passion it says it is installed, but my skin is Aeon Nox SVN. My skin has a lower version number than the Aeon Nox Git in Passion Repo, so I don't think they're the same.

Tried Aeon Nox Git from the github page (saved it as zip) and manually tried it. Saw some german text instead of english and of course I missed all my customizations and I missed the carousel viewtype, so had to revert to SVN. Will the carousel 2D view return to Nox 3.0? I love that view for my movies.
SVN is just there to say that it's a WIP skin, updated everyday. It's actually Aeon Nox git, branch 3.0.0-pre.
We needed a way to be able to install WIP skins without interfering with the stable version, or the official repo. Adding SVN to the name was it.

I know that, I've been using SVN since the nightlies. What I mean is that in Passion Repo, Aeon Nox GIT is listed as installed according to add-on info, but that is a newer version than (and very different from) the Aeon Nox SVN I have running now. According to enabled add-ons, I have Aeon Nox SVN 1332353376 installed. In Passion Repo, Aeon Nox GIT is version 3.0.0.1333295167. Also listed as installed. I am confused. Furthermore, 3.0 is more WIP than what I'm running now.

Especially the missing viewtype are making me nervous Eek

I have to say, the attention to detail I'm seeing in 3.0.0-pre is very impressive Smile

The classic font sizing in sub-menus, the rotating hint arrows and the old-topbar-layout work is all wicked cool Smile ( although surely that should be 'classic-topbar-layout', old suggests depreciation which I hope isn't the case Wink )

Watching this come together is great fun.

'Zero

-----
XBMC Frodo | XBMCbuntu (+ OSX / Windows 7 on a MacMini) | Aeon Nox 4 (Stable) | Maraschino Git | xbmcremote 1-04 | XSqueeze
-----
On a long enough timeline. The survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

nice that there also seem to exist people who like the new version Big Grin
attention to detail and improving usability are the main aims for 3.0, this won´t be a "1000 new options" release.
and labels aren´t translated yet, we´ll find a better one I´m sure Wink

I had the same problem on one of my machines. I had to manually delete the folder in C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\skin.aeon.nox.svn Then go back into XBMC and go to the passion repo and install the GIT version again. You may lose your settings though.

Checking out the 3.0 branch, and after a bit of getting used to I'm liking what I'm seeing Smile

One small problem, extrafanart does not seem to work in music views. I have my music library path set:

<setting type="string" name="skin.aeon.nox.ArtistsLogosPath">/home/xbmc/cdart/</setting>

But am getting these errors:

19:05:49 T:3052070672 ERROR: GetDirectory - Error getting /home/xbmc/cdart/The Beatles / /extrafanart/

Looks like it's putting a space and an extra slash in. FYI this was working with the 2.0 branch.

Thanks,

AC

Did something change with the updates. The last update i had for the skin is on 02/17. I even updated xbmc from RC2 to Regular eden version and i still have not seen the update for the skin in the last two days. I had the svn installed. I uninstalled and reinstalled seems to be everything is back in. Something must have corrupted.

Thanks

Im loving the new version... my personal opinion is it is miles ahead with the improvements

My only wish is to have a way to replace the poster in the TV Show low list view with a 16:9 wide thumb

Hi,

Is Moviesets supported in Aeon Nox 3.0?
I really got some problems with XBMC when i have it activated (it freezes)
Aeon Nox is the latest from Passion-XBMC, and Movisets are v. 2.1.1

Otherwise, i really like the New Aeon Nox. Keep up the good work Big Grin

Yes it's supported, but for me the add-on is unusable atm. Whenever a progress dialog is activated the gui freezes and also I experienced random hangs while playing. I don't believe this has anything to do with the skin or the add-on though. I believe it's a problem with json and dialogs that open and/or multiple add-ons running in background (ie next aired and moviesets). There has been several trac tickets for this and most of it is fixed, but with moviesets add-on the problem still occurs. Movie sets are no necessity for me so I won't bother opening a trac ticket, but if you want this problem to be handled you should open a trac ticket and provide ful debug log information and reproduction steps preferable in the default skin.
