Assuming that Windows Media Player can show DRM-ed Amazon Prime video,
how does one switch from the built-in media player to WMP ?

I am getting the Flash DRM message. Is there any work around for this?

I am having the same flash access problems others have reported. Initially, I get a dialog box with the following:
DRM Detected
The video use FLASH_ACCESS DRM

Then, XBMC says working but eventually times out and fails to play the video. Below is from the XBMC log when this occurs.

I just put the dialog in so it is easier to know if it is drm.

I will make it a yes/no box asking if you want to attempt to play it. This is mainly for testing purposes.

My guess is no. The DRM is there to ensure that "doing the right thing" means you can't play the file half the time and makes piracy the more compatible option. Wink

Does anybody know if its possible to use MPC-HC or any other player for internet streaming? I have issues with the default player, it keeps flashing/tearing.
Currently I have set MPC-HC as the default and whenever I use it for this Amazon plugin or any other it says 'Failed to render the file'
I tried looking elsewhere in this forum but could not find anything relevant.

nevermind, i have the ps3 and now with amazon instant video app, this is no longer an issue, quality is also awesome
