Don't buy a MSI Windbox dc100 to use as a Mediacenter - it's got a cheap and loud fan

Sad
So I learned this the hard way, because there aren't any reviews on the net that say it, and so I bought and experienced the horror for myself.

The MSI Windbox dc100 has a horrible fan. It's loud and high pitched. It puts out a sharp hizz or buzz sound of a crappy cheap fan, when a good quality fan would put out a soft humm sound. The fan almost never idles. It keeps going up and down in speed. And even when it idles it's still a loud and ugly sound.

Sure the specs and price is good, and it performed well in real life too - ran XBMC like a dream. But that doesn't matter when you're trying to watch tv and this thing keeps buzzing in your ears.

After a lot of digging on the web, I found out I wasn't the only one with this problem:

So don't make the mistake I and others did and buy this thing. At least not if you plan to watch tv with it. Because you won't be able to concentrate on the tv with this thing blowing in you ears.

Just a friendly word of warning, so others won't have to experience this let down, as I did.
