Im also getting garbled audio with the latest version of the patch if i try using analog audio? Not present when using the official build. Is this patched version just meant for bitstreamed digital audio? I do not notice it when viewing movies in my library, but only when viewing streamed content in xbmc and analog audio with this patched version. HDMI bitstreamed works fine, analog audio works fine for streaming in the official xbmc build. Very confusing.

It also only seems to occur with a mono track...

So if i switch to analog audio with this patched version, try to view streamed content, and it has a mono track, its nothing but distortion.

Nope... this is a patch... a band aid if you want. The proper solution is AE which will be merged with master sometime soon apparently.

bluray,

Thanks for the recommendations. I have just tried those settings, but whenever I switch from a lossless audio track in a movie (TrueHD or DTS-HD MA) to any other sound track and then back to a lossless track, there is no sound output. If I then switch again to a lossy track the sound output resumes. Video part works flawlessly under all conditions.

Again - as soon as I switch to 50 Hz in the Intel graphics utility, everything works fine.

What I also want to know is whether there are any downsides of using 50 Hz instead of 60 Hz (aside from the "23.976 Hz issue")? I have tested 24, 23.976 and 25 Hz material and everything seems pretty smooth to me. I have not tried to catch repeated frames or be too picky, but at least I can say the playback isn't stuttered, slow/fast.

Hey gregnukem,

If you're running 50hz, you may see noticeable judder when panning on 24p (23.976) material.

Cheers

I'm wondering if it happen the same way with other media players (PDVD, TMT, MPC-HC, etc......

Have you try the latest Intel driver from here- Download Center?

I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

using this patch for a while now,
everything works fine and i can play anything i throw to it.

only issue i got is the so called pause bug sometimes.
when i put the movie on pause and i unpause it,
i sometimes get a stuttering audio,
swithing audio tracks helps solving it.

i re-read the post here and i read that some people had this issue also,
but i never found a real solution.

tried updating my ATI drivers to see if that was a issue,
but with no result (11.6 to 12.3)
Hardware that i use:
Onkyo TX-SR875 (HTPC > Reciever > TV all HDMI)
Intel® Core™ i5 CPU 661 | Sapphire HD 6570 1GB DDR3
using the latest patch

Windows 7, 64-bit | XBMC Frodo | Aeon Nox | MONEUAL 320B (not working remote and display:angry:, yet) | Intel® Core™ i5 CPU 661 | Sapphire HD 6570 1GB DDR3
Onkyo TX-SR875 | Teufel System 5 THX Cinema 5.1
HP Microserver N40L WHS 2011 8TB

I don't think there's a real solution to it, TRaSH. But seriously, if it's the only problem that we have with this patch, then who cares... I know I don't.
I just press Stop rather than Pause now and all is well.

Well it isn't a big issue for me.
I got a bigger issue with the AE build.
But my wife and daughter finds it annoying.

I've seen this problem, too. My remedy was skipping back 15 seconds and the audio resynced. Might be less annoying than switching audio track.

I dont see the problem either, I mean you can just press stop then resume from previous position....
