Example:

Game of Thrones
-Season1 (not season 1)
--S01E01.avi, S01E02.avi, S01E03.avi etc.

After that refresh tv show Game of thrones.

Folder name doesn't matter.

It's all about correct TV Show folder naming and file naming

E:/Tv Shows (this is what I directed XBMC to)

E:/Tv shows/Awake/Season 1 (has 13 episodes All Showing up)
E:/Tv shows/Game of Thrones/Season 2 (has 13 episodes ONE showing up)
E:/Tv shows/Two and a Half men/ Season 9 (has 24 episodes in it and NONE show up)

The art work shows up for the tv show folder ie Two and a half men has the art work on the dvdv case... there just nothing in it!

However, a reinstall of XBMC and adding back this skin fixed the movie issue.

I would guess that your episodes are named incorrectly and not in accordance with this:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add...file_names

One thing I do (on Windows), to ensure that everything is named properly - I run my TV Shows through "The Renamer" first. I've never had XBMC have an issue with an item that has been successfully renamed with therenamer. On the otherhand if The Renamer has an issue (can't rename it, because it can't see it) then I have had XBMC give issues. That said, I don't generally have an issue - but it was helpful when I was starting out. I believe Sickbeard can do that too, but I've never used it.

Anyway, your files should work if they look like this:
E:/Tv shows/Two and a Half men/Season 9/s9e1.nice.to.meet.you.walden.mkv (or .avi, etc)

It doesn't have to be in that format, but that's an example. Just follow, basically, what is said in
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add...file_names

You need to find your xbmc log file. As Martijn linked, it's location depends on what your operating system is. Once you determine the location, do not open the log file, rather open XBMC, run through the scanning of your files, then close xbmc. Open the log file, cut and paste it here:

http://pastebin.com/

Then post the link that the above generates here....

Just curious, what are some of the filenames inside your Two and a Half Men Season 9 folder?

It quickly "scan" and takes me to a screen that shows the artwork on the left. on the right it lists the details of the show (although the director, actor etc is "unknown"). Gives me theoption to "getthumb" and play... lists that it's HDTV. When selecting play, it plays the episode.

Going back to the header and selecting "tv shows" the folder is still empty. under videos, all episodes listed.

On a side note, I just put a new tv show in "pretty little liars" and it found all 3 seasons and listed them in the header option "Tv shows"... Has to be something wrong with my names or something simple!

Correct.. the whole season is in 1 file. I am going to remove it.

I have to repeat my question:

so sorry I failed to respond to this. No, I checked that. I used the quick nav while under video>files. It's "All Videos".

remove the source completely, set it up (do not scan yet), restart xbmc and post a debug log of your initial scan.

Correct.. the whole season is in 1 file. I am going to remove it.

Like I had said initially, your file names are probably named incorrectly, which is why it's not finding them.

You really need to have a read of the link I posted.
This one:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add...file_names

That should be followed piously

Your files should look like this: s1e1.mkv s1e2.mkv etc.

As far as I can tell, they all are. All except for the termed where the whole season is one large "movie" like file. What I really don't understand is reason why I can watch and see the episodes under the video~files section. Every episode is there and watchable. It's just under the tv shows header that certain ones are not showing up.

I will run everything through the renamer that you suggested.

Here are 2 examples:

G:\TV Shows\So You Think You Can Dance\Season 9\So You Think You Can Dance - S09E01 - 720p HDTV x264-2HD.mkv

G:\TV Shows\Awake\Season 1\Awake - S01E01 - HDTV x264-LOL

Of the 2, Awake is the only episode showing. Totally do not understand where the difference in naming is.

OK.. have totally cleaned off the source. When I did, it removed the tv shows header and the tv guide.. that's normal.

Hi,I removed the source.. shutdown Xbmc. Restarted XBMC, Added source, did not scan.. turned on debugging. Shut down XBMC, restarted and ran UPDATE from the movie header. It located all but 2 shows this time. One was the folder Treme with the 1 episopde that was in it (actuall whole season in 1 file), and SYTYCD (3 episodes in the folder). There was a glitch that happened, "can not reach server"?? and prompted me to continue the scan or not.

PS.. The reason I am posting every move I make is to help others who might have the same issue in the future.

Am going to delete the source again and follow the steps and hope the error doesnt occur again. Also, I am not using a nightly.
