[TEST RELEASE] Aeon Nox Lite (Nox 3.6 Theme)

I made much faster progress than expected, here´s a preview of the upcoming White Theme for the Dev Version of Nox (3.6)

Needs newest GIT version from Master ( https://github.com/BigNoid/Aeon-Nox/zipball/master )
plus the Theme file ( https://github.com/downloads/BigNoid/Aeon-Nox/White.xbt ) which must be placed in media/ folder.

Please post opinions, I´m not sure yet whether I should go down the "all-white" route or if I should just color the panels.

Set Theme to White in Appearance Settings.








Expect a hell lot of visual glitches. And never turn the setting to color the panels on

yes.

So far, I'm not getting the results like you've posted. Perhaps I've dropped the .xbt file in the wrong location. I just dropped it in the theme folder. I can select the lite_floor for the color choice, but there is no additional option for the theme in Appearances.

drop it in media/ folder.

Yep, that did it. I'll post some observations later this evening after I get some use out of it.

I have to say that I´m surprised how good it looks for most parts. perhaps that´s just because i starred at the old textures for too long

I quite like it. 2 things that I've seen so far.

1) When you try to resume a video it comes up with that "from ##:##" or play from beginning menu. It appears that was left as the default black color.
2) Even with rssclient and rssfeeds installed, the skin->help menu shows that they are not.

1) yes, context menu and shutdown menu need to be fixed. on my list.
2) doesn´t happen here.

A few observations for you...

1. When using the "set area color" dialogs, choosing to color Panels makes the panels a solid color (of your choice). This also affects the top bar a little drastically as well.

2. Panel Widgets - the text overlay on the bottom is indiscernable. I'm using this widget for TVshows/latest episodes

3 Episode Viewtype - Perhaps the fade on Background 2 could extend a bit more to the left so that the plot info of episodes is a little easier to read.

4. Landscape viewtype - single logo: The alternate floor option I think fades up too far into the fanart. Something a bit less drastic?

5. Wall viewtype - no background panel/show logo: Maybe the area color could be applied to highlight the floor (like the shift and showcase floor highlights) surrounding the Logo/text area to make lighter logos a bit easier to see.

6. Pause screen/with video info: White on white text (rating, country, director, etc.) under the chapter info is a little hard to see. Perhaps use the area color here?

Do you want screens illustrating these points? Overall, it's looking really good - and refreshing.
