OS X Bottom & Left Edge pixels flickering
#31
I started this thread... Not long after starting I stopped using my mac mini and got a dedicated XBMCbuntu box.
So I cannot give you another log.

I did turn on SW Decoding and that solved the problem until I switched boxes.
XBMC on MacMini + <12TB of material displaying on 60" or 150".

Same situation and configuration as Walt74 here, but the flickering is happening on the bottom and right part of the screen no matter what I am watching (streaming or local files). I can hide it by zooming though.

If you need a debug log let me know, but I guess I'll gave you the same info as Walt74.

Davilla, I've tested with the compilation @12/17/2012 and it was not fixed yet.

I checked on the nighties repository and there is a @12/18/2012, I will test today with this one.

The last nightly from18/12/12 did not fix this issue for me. Do you need an additional log ?

and Eden does not have the issue ?

No eden does not have this problem. It occurs in frodo when the hardware acceleration is ON. When i switch it OFF the lines on the bottom and right disappear.

Okay, my mistake.
i installed the latest nightly build again xbmc20121218-8d57808.

First log : hardware acceleration ON
Purple lines with an mp4
Green lines with an mkv

Your debug xbmc.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=22568

Second log hardware accelaration OFF
No screen at first had to shutdown xbmc completely
No green or purple lines with the mp4
No green lines with the mkv

Your debug xbmc.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=22570

Seams to be a hardware accelaration issue ?

Current nightly seems to have not fixed the issue. Just FYI, it is and always has been the bottom and right for me. I never saw this on Eden, and it really doesn't bother me. I'm just trying to help get it fixed for those that are bothered by it.

check for intel is forced for all, next nightly.

@davilla seems that won't fix it for Walt74 since he already has intel and reported it nonworking with build from the 18th (well if the if condition was right - of course).

Lets see what todays nightly will bring.
