[RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script
(2012-12-25, 00:15)Jason102 Wrote: esk1: try stable-pre (I've actually pushed my changes this time). I've changed the file reading a bit, so hopefully you'll have more luck.

It got past the point of the last core and is currently on channel 8 on my openelec box so that is very promising. I definitely recommend the pi user above give it a shot.

edit: I'm getting occasional playback errors. My box got taken over so I'll try to get a debug log later.
This latest pre-release is working great for me under RC1. Probably the best pseudo has worked for me in a while. Channels almost seam to be formed better with a better verity on them. Maybe its just me though.

RC2****
is there a way to bring up the regular OSD of XBMC? I want to use the XBMC subtitles plugin to download subtitles.

Yes, press the M button
It starting to work much better, I actually getting channels now both my raspberry pi and android box, it does sometimes freeze in updating channel when you restart the app (I just tell redo a scan), and its slow at adding channels but I don't think its a huge issue as these device are always powered on. it takes about 30 minutes to hour or so per channel to add vs pc where it takes 5 minutes or so.

Thanks! it works.
It's an awesome addon! i'm sad to see it is no longer maintained :-(
Hello Jason,

i tried to get you Plugin get to work under RaspBMC on the Raspberry Pi, but i had the following problem: When i try to enter PseudoTV, the program generates playlists (the window appears) but then stop working, i just get an black screen.. I can't do anything, to get it work and it dont reacts on any inputs.

Here is the log-message: http://pastebin.com/1YZazBmj

Hope you can fix this Smile

mietzekotze: try stable-pre again. I made a small change that will (hopefully) force the problem to go away. If it doesn't, I still have something else that I can do...but I hope it doesn't come to that. Anyway, see if this fixes your issue.

Now I get an script error and this message in the log:

If i then click again, this comes:

will this work on Frodo RC2
@dazedwhiteboy: Did you try it?
just tried pre stable on two boxes running Frodo RC2 one is a windows box the other is a xbmcbuntu box both come up with errors "unable to populate channels. Please verify that you have scraped media in your library and that you have properly configured channels” anyone have any solutions to this issue

Can you please explain this in more detail? I'm having the same issue with the latest dev release (about 4 hours ago), and I'm not sure how to check or modify the network metadata on my shows.
Well, have you added your media? are your servers up to date? did you take the latest version of pseudoTV?
UPDATE so I configured PseudoTV to play a directory instead of a network (ABC, FOX, AMC) it played all the files in the directory which leads me to believe it’s an issue with the metadata that was scraped also I tried playing a smart list that I configured but it still posted same error message I am going to try one more thing to see if I can fix it.

yes I am using the most up to date PseudoTV
