I downloaded the relevant zip file for chinese-addons. Then from within xbmc, go to System->Add-ons->Install from zip file that you have just downloaded. After this, go to Get Add-ons->Chinese Add-on Repository, but there are no plugin under it. please help me

sohu and qiyi is broken now. I think for qiyi it is because qiyi is using some http other that data.qiyi.com instead some of them is f.qiyi.com. SoHU should because of the website change, hope this can be fixed soon.

Using the youku plugin, is it possible to retrieve a list of videos uploaded by a specific user? If not, would it be difficult to modify the plugin to work this way? I tried looking at the source, but the parsing functions kinda threw me off.

My tudou don't seem to filter for Cantonese drama anymore, only list mandarine ones even when "Hong Kong" has been selected. Has anyone else got the same problem?

I feel like I am missing something simple. I have read through all of the pages and I didn't see the answer.

I have AppleTV 1, I just installed Eden and installed the Eden Chinese add-on. I am able to add all the different add-ons channels and have the font set correctly so the characters appear correctly. I have tried multiple plug-ins and have only found one that will actually play any videos (one of the music video ones). I disabled all of them except for CNTV and I navigate to the CCTV folder. All of the sub folders come up and I can see the preview jpeg showing, but not a single video will play. There are also no error messages in my log file. It just doesn't do anything when I try to play.

I feel like I am missing a download/install of some sort and it just doesn't know how to play the video? I had Dharma installed and tried to upgrading to Eden but have the same effect. Trying to get Chinese channels setup for inlaws when they visit in the spring. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Only I cannot get the chinese characters on it, I get squares instead. I have English windows 7 with chinese languangepack installed.
Outside xbmc the chinese characters are recognized but when i start xbmc i only see squares. Do you have a add-on for that?

I was able to get a few of the plugins working correctly on my raspbmc install. However, I don't seem to be able to read any of the fonts in chinese. Is the LanguageSelectorforXBMC still the recommended method to get chinese fonts? raspbmc seems to be on 12RC2.

Just released the xbmc PPTV plugin version 1.1.5 that fixes the TV 直播 video link problem.
PPTV site has changed the way to access the TV streaming, and it requires installation of "PPTV网络电视" application on the local system that runs xbmc. You can download the application from the http://www.pptv.com/ site. After installation, this application should auto launch upon next system power up and stay resident. Alternatively you may go to http://live.pptv.com/ and launch any of the TV program to start the application if you do not wish to reset the system.

If the PPTV installtion is successful, In WIndows Task Manager you should see the process "PPAP.exe*32 PPTV网络电视" process running.

Then start xbmc PPTV, select any TV site to playback.

As the "PPTV网络电视" is only supported on Windows platform, TV video link in PPTV plugin that running under Linux is temporary not supported.

Thanks, is there an easy way for me to add channel support myself, ie where should I edit config/find the correct URL for source video? I suppose it involve "view source" on most web sites or something more?

Is there a tutorial of some sort?
