Mp3 playback speaker settings.

When using xbmc 12.3 is there anyway to get mp3 sound on a 5.1 speaker setting?
My current settings carried over from 12.2 are:
Audio - - HDMI
Speaker - - 5.1
Audio output dev - - HDMI

Fine for movies but no mp3 playback. Have to switch to Speaker 2.0. Many thanks and apologies if i have missed something obvious.

I believe 2.0 is the recommended setting for all playback.

@wgstarks. Thank you. Was tired last night and did not realise that 2.0 was outputting on all 5 speakers. Works fine set at 2.0, thank you.

I don't know why this is. I'm sure the answer is very complicated. I've seen the same problem posted quite often just in the short time I've been on this forum. Glad you got it worked out.
