I just got a new RC6-compatible IR module for the HTPC cases that I sell that can turn on a PC as long as the USB header it's connected to has power on the off state. The power switch lead is routed through the IR receiver board. I am really excited to finally have something like this to offer. I've already tested it with the Gigabyte GA-C1007UN-D motherboard. Any motherboard that has the power on for USB header feature will work (a lot of them do now to offer a power charging feature).

Hey guys not sure if i'm in the right place to ask about my problem but i hope someone on here has a answer.
I have an Antec Fusion Black HTPC case with the Imon receiver & display. Due to horrid sensitivity problems in xbmc with the original case remote (Veris RM200) i decided to buy a Logitech Harmony One remote as i could do away with most of my remotes. To make use of the cold start/shutdown of the case i added case remote Veris RM200 remote as a device in my harmony software & mapped the power on/off. I then added Microsoft Windows Media Center SE & Microsoft MCE Keyboard as devices for mapping key and remote commands. Problem i have is when i click the HTPC activity on my Harmony remote my HTPC starts up how it should no problem and i can navigate through XBMC but when i press watch tv in my activity half of the time my HTPC does not power down. Out of 10 it might power down 3 times, i have to then ether power off by the button on the case or press power toggle on my harmony screen. Anyone know a way how i can power down my HTPC by a another command.

Has anyone use Method #2? If so, any installation guides available. I really like that set up. [/b]

It should work, as CIR is not related to SO. I have 2 MB with CIR and both work with this setup.
Check once again the wiring and check that logitech to be windows media remote. Use "power toggle" command on remote for on/off.

It is no use to have Asrock smart remote, just program your Logitech as Windows media remote. No need to use USB header.
Program for example as compro videomate k100 or k200.
Or Microsoft windows media center se.
