Hey,
first - sorry for the late reply. I'm just too busy last weeks.
Netflix changed some small thing on login, so the addon wasn't working for new users.
To fix this, change line 473 of default.py to:
Code:
content = opener.open("http://movies.netflix.com/Login").read()

I'll try to answer/solve the other questions/problems (and release an update) next week...

Greetings,
asde

OK, I just saw this post. THINK I have it workignow Confused

Thanks

Did it all to fro do 12.3 and works like a dream what is different in Gotham than frodo? Can't you take all this from frodo and put into Gotham?

Cheers

Fix is for emulators, but same issue/fix.

Quote:After switching to the VB scripts (which work great!) I started getting this error with only MAME. As far as I can tell the xbmc process was holding the xbmc.log file and this was preventing xbmc from restarting. Windows will not allow the deletion of the log file while its being used, although a app called Unlocker is able to delete the in use log file via the command prompt/batch file. Using the method described here to bypass the UAC pop up as this program runs as administrator. Then I added the shortcut to the eventghost action I have for closing emulators + app-launch.bat script file and now xbmc restarts after MAME now.

Ok, so I've installed Unlocker, duplicated the issue with netflixbmc, and have tried to use unlocker manually to get the netfixbmc_utility.exe process to close/exit. I've used the "Unlocker" option from the windows context menu on the netflixbmc_utility.exe file, the xbmc.log file and even the main xbmc.exe application. Always get a popup stating' "No locking handle found." I've also tried using unlocker via the command line and the "-s" command to unlock/kill this program, to no avail. It does give me the option to delete, rename, or move the file, however. Is this what I need to do? I would think I wouldn't want to mess with these files at all..

Any idea as to what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for the help!

Anyone have anymore insight on how to fix this issue?

Are you able to manually delete the xbmc.log file when you get the error (not via unlocker)? The reason I suggested unlocker was this thread http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=166218

I have not tried to do that. I will try that when I get off work tonight.

For some reason nothing loads. I hit 100% on Netflix screen and then get an Internet connection problem error code N8157-3142. Anyone else get this?

Could someone help me with setting up a remote?
I have 2 different MCE remotes and could not make any of them work with NetfliXBMC! Here's what I tried:
Using NetfliXBMC Control Utility (with both Chrome and IE) Play/Pause/Forward/Back work fine, but "Close" behaves weird. Sometimes it closes the player, sometimes I need to press it twice to close, sometimes it just switches focus to XBMC and put a browser in background. But most of the times it just does not do anything! I tried to map "Close" to different keys, but it didn't help.
I also installed "LM Remote KeyMap". I was able to configure it to work perfectly with Netflix in a browser Full Screen (both IE and Chrome), but when the browser is running from NetfliXBMC, it ignores all remote keys!!! And yes, I disables NetfliXBMC Control Utility. But it seems like it still somehow interfere with "LM Remote KeyMap"...
So, I need to make a remote work one way or the other: make NetfliXBMC Control Utility reliably recognize "Close" button, or disable it completely and use "LM Remote KeyMap".
Please, help!
Thanks.

Since it keeps seeming to be some "permissions error," I'm curious--is there a config file in the add-on appdata directory, that caches my credentials for Netflix? I'm curious--the only way I'm able to view my account credentials (to see if they're accurate) is in the configuration screen of NetfliXBMC, in XBMC. Obviously I can see how my email is going across, but the password is all asterixed out. I remember a previous poster to this forum having to type in his credentials with the add-on's "soft-keyboard," because it kept adding a character or something to his password when he typed it in? I've tried the soft-keyboard, laptop keyboard, copy/paste, etc., all to no avail at this point.

I got nothing. I was having the problem you described before and that process worked for me.

I'll see if I can figure anything else out, but I'm not confident in the likelihood of my success

Nope I am unable to delete the log file. Says it is in use by netflixbmc_utility.exe. I tried using unlocker to unlock but got the message that "No locking handle could be found."

Is there a way to force netflixbmc_utility.exe to quit when I exit XBMC? Killing the task fixes the issue which is easy enough to do, but I'd still like to figure out why it is "hanging."

I am getting "Could not connect to remote server" using both Frodo and Gothem Beta 3. I am running the newest OSX. I tried the recommendation above about changing the login URL. The error in the Xbmc logs is the same either way:

How is netflixbmc_utility.exe run? do you have to do it manually or does the addon do it? (I dont have netflix or this addon)

No it starts automatically after you launch the addon in xbmc. I use Alt+F4 to close chrome launcher after I'm done watching netflix videos which brings me back into XBMC.

I may have a guess here, but my feeling is that Netflixbmc_utility is the one that provides the special keys to control the browser (play, stop, exit...). If you map your exit key let's say to "back" instead of alt+f4 the application should terminate the browser and the utility itself. I have the feeling that alt+f4 just closes the browser.
