Release [beta] reFred - 1.2.0 Beta 1 released
Hi, you did a really great job on customizing refocus, especially the latest OSD is just what i wanted. One request I have is to allow a folder to be chosen for global backgrounds.
Reply
Would it also be possible to add an option for conditional weather backgrounds?

21.05.2014
- revised the OSD screens for: music/live tv/videos (see screenshots)
- fixed: Fanart displaying issue while music playback
- should be fixed: Aspectratio/crop issue with TV logos (pls test deletedpenuin)
- Ported: Bello music visualization scrolling text (can be disabled)
- Added Bello like "working" notification
- Added option to auto hide the music info panels
- Changed some dialogs (still not all done yet)
- Adjusted the clock in the upper right corner
- Added CDart to the music visualization screen. If no CDart is available, a fake cd with the album cover + artist name is displayed instead

Image

I can confirm that the TV logo issue is fixed, thanks! I really like the new changes, however the info box on the OSD (wide vs. on the right hand side) seem too big - I've yet to see enough text to fill it. I thought the way it was implemented previously was perfect.

Still not getting fanart for music playback, but not confident it's an issue with the skin. I think the plugin is acting up.

Thanks again sualfred.

For those of us who have modified the skin, would it be possible for you to include a changelog?

Thanks

I have no plans to add a global background.

It's already there, it was just a bug ^^ The next package has it fixed. It's already working here. I will provide an extra weather fanart file. It can be set in the skin settings or in the weather view.

Regarding the music OSD panel: That's exactly how I like it, sorry. But there is a settting to hide it after a few seconds in the skin settings menu.
For me the fanarts works without any problems now. Try to disable the artist slideshow addon, then it would only grab your local fanart image.

What did you modified? Maybe it's useful to adopt it. My changes were everywhere. There are >100 xml files in the 720p folder Wink

Ok, I had no plans to implement it, but I have a good day Wink
Download the latest package. You can choose a global single image or a slideshow folder now.

(2014-05-21, 21:43)shedrock Wrote: Would it also be possible to add an option for conditional weather backgrounds?

Same to you: Download again. You can set the imagefolder directly in the skin settings or in the weather window.

For all:
Update
22.05.2014 - 09:45
- Changed the complete background logic (was really bad and complicated coded)
- Added the possiblity to overwrite the background logic with a own single background image or a image folder for a slideshow
- Fixed: Conditional weather fanart.

Important: The conditional weather fanarts aren't included (because of the size). You can download a good package here:

//edit
Question to all:
Since yesterday, the search keyboard dialog opens after a 1-2 hours. Does anybody have the same issue? Otherwise I have to talk some serious words to my all-in-one remote control why it tries to make me angry ^^

RE: OSD, I was referring to the Live TV OSD. If you have no plans to change it, would you consider an option to switch to the old version? Music one looks good to me too.

I will look into disabling the artist slideshow addon - didn't realize it would default to local art if I didn't have it.

Another little quirk I noticed was that if I go into the audio settings and try to edit the audio sync delay, the background becomes blue, and I can't see the video to try and fix any audio sync issues.

Ah, sry.

Live TV info box:
You can do it on your own. Open the includes.xml and search for "plot box livetv" and replace the part with this one
Code:
<!-- plot box livetv -->

@sualfred

Yesterday when we were talking abput Play trailer option. Since there is no way you add it to the movie widget. Could you add it to the movie contex menu? Here is the example how it can be done Smile.

BTW I think this skin is way over Alfa stage now Big Grin. You can lable it as beta easily or even RC. Don't you think?

I'm getting yellow "debug" info in the lower left of the screen after installing the latest version of this skin. Anyone else seeing this?

First I like to thank you again, for this Skin Smile It is really beautiful Big Grin

I would like to suggest something for the Video OSD's which are now really cool and look a lot better than the old ones Smile
Would it be possible to replace the "SETTINGS" Button on the OSD with a Settings Icons/Symbol or just replace it with an Symbol of 3 dots ("...") just to show that there is more?

And I also have a suggestion regarding the Media Info Icons on the PVR OSD only. Could the Symbols be replaced just by three Icons which would only show "HD/SD", "Widescreen or not" and "Stereo/Multichannel". So this Dialog would also be simplified. What do you think?

As i try to make your skin to look as MCE like as possible (a really more modern Version of), I would like to be able to set the Background for all Menu items to a single image and also to set the Item picture itself (at the Moment it uses Fanart i think).

Download the latest package. You can choose a global single image or a slideshow folder now.

Thanks for this part also Smile It is really looking beautifully now Smile

Too much isn't done yet, but u r right Wink Let's call it Beta Tongue
Your example isn't for the context menu but I will think about it. Btw: you know that you can access the trailers by opening the info window for a movie?

@deletedpenguin
Damn, my fault. I'm currently not at home. I will add a new package later.
To fix it manually:
custom_Debug and replace the value inside the <visible> tag to "false".

@Vlaves
The icon with "..." is a great idea! Will be replaced. But I won't change the media flags. Sry.

@qzem:
It's implemented. You have "Trailer" in the context menu, when you are in the movie library.

@deletedpenguin:
fixed Tongue simply forgot it.
I also did a small fix for the fanart thing. Please test it.

@Vlaves:
Settings is replaced with your icon suggestion
