OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 3 (Kodi 14.0)
The Version without error and where the menu was ok was that

Experimental newclock4 build uploaded: #0820b

Same as build #0820, but with newclock4 patches in place of newclock3. See here for details.

newclock4 additions since previous build #0819b:

[omxcodec] Need to resend codec config after flushing
[omxplayer] Flush clock after components
[omxplayer] Remove flush on seek
[omxplayer] Use 0 for video timestamps when using trickplay

Feedback on omxplayer while seeking/trickplay would be welcomed, as this code has changed quite a bit with the dvdplayer refactor.

Feedback on dvdplayer performance (including seeking/trickplay) would also be appreciated.
I cant get 1080i hdtv to play smooth any longer with omxplayer, same for live-tv and recordings using Tvheadend.
Dvdplayer plays them "ok" (gui shows increasing skip)

??
That is not the problem. This version runs very good and after this version, i have many problems with the dvdplayer.
And milhouse want to know, which version runs very good without my error.

Can you confirm that #819b works correctly and #820b fails?
I can't see anything obvious that affects dvdplayer between those two builds.

A sample file would be useful (I believe you can use a dvd iso editor to remove the feature and just leave the menu)

It is feedback on skipping.
Hi guys, just looking at this thread and found that Mister XY's issue with DVD iso playback may be similar to what I experienced when testing resent KODI builds I made for Boxee Box. On the Boxee when launching a Blu-ray ISO it looked like it was struggling to open it, what usually happens on the Boxee is it uses specific IntelSMD code to play back as h264. What happened according to the logs was a failure then dropped back to be played in software mode by FFmpeg.

To fix this issue I had to revert this commit:

Merge pull request #5487 from FernetMenta/fastswitch
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commit/40b0...e33b869e61

This might not be relevant in this case but there may be a chance this info will help.

820b works correctly.

Okay, I'd like to know which of the newclock4 ("b") builds introduced the problem.
If 820b works, does 821b fail?
821b has problems with sound.
since version http://netlir.dk/rbej/builds/MilhouseVH/...a68fda.tar
i have the error

When downloading a new subtitle (or updating a new one) there is a strange white wash all over the screen (although the frame can be seen behind), when the movie is back from pause the white disappears but the active subtitle is no where the one I downloaded (to be honest I don't know from where it took it).

Not seen it myself or heard of any similar report. Can't see anything obvious in log.
Might be worth testing if it occurs with default settings/add-ons. Rename .xbmc to .xbmc_back and reboot.
All settings should be default and add-ons disabled. Try and do the minimum number of steps to reproduce this.
If it still fails then let me know what steps are needed to reproduce this.
Will try and report
BTW, when downloading a subtitle outside xbmc all is fine
Thanks
Thanks it solved the problem

It's possible an add-on or a settings change caused the bug.
Try and test if the bug reappears each time you install an add-on or change settings and perhaps we'll work out what caused it.

Did this file play better with an older xbmc version? If you can indicate when it broke it would help identify the problem.

Hi,
I also experience constant freezes in Live TV on tvheadend from version 0921. On 0920 work with no problems.
