My good god....
I do not want to know what your power bill is, never mind what your budget is for dead or dying drives withing that 128 drive array..... I have an 8 drive FreeNAS server (Older Dual Xeon HP work station heavily modded) broken into two RAIDz arrays, totaling 12.7 usable TB of storage space, and my power bill went up by $25 a month to keep it running 24/7......

Sorry, this has to be said.
Impressive as hell what you have done. I showed this to a buddy at work who is also hella impressed, but you know what he took away from all of this? The CRT monitor in the top left corner attached to the old school 486 / Pentium box below it. It was worth good laugh. The only thing that would be even more impressive than this setup, is managing and running this entire setup from that box.
But seriously, love this setup.......

It's a shame people feel the need to bullshit.

I don't know what to do with this thread. For now I'll demote it from "showcase" to the normal hardware thread. I don't want to flat out delete it, because it's just such a nice example of his BS that I'd like to keep around. Then again, maybe it was a trolling all along and it should just be deleted?
