Its like buses this place. You wait for one skin that fits your needs and then 2 come along at once. I'm loving this and MiniMeedia.
Suggestions (I'm only using the TV library at the moment as I'm at work):

Homey Wrote:I do agree with what someone said about the fonts though - something sleek would be better. As I'm a graphic designer and have over 20k of fonts, do you want me to find something sexy and sleek? Please, PLEASE then pick a 'free' font that could be included with the skin, so that it does not have to be downloaded separately, or hinder Ronie from open sourcing this skin! Links to many such free and/open source fonts can be found here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=13107 Gamester17 Wrote:i like to suggest that we collect and add as many legal ttf-fonts to the xbmc cvs as well (preferably open sourced if possible, but as long as they are free to use for non-commersial projects they will due), that way normal end-users don't have to have to copy fonts from their windows computers to get the ones they need or want, and skinners/python-writters will always have access to a wide base of fonts that they know is always there. ...as a start i think sourceforge.net and freshmeat.net can be scavaged for usage/reusabe fonts (linux-distrubutions could be another source), (check for example out corefonts, xf86-corefonts, linux libertine open fonts, metatype, free unicode fonts , vietunicode, culmus, cjk-environment, free bangla fonts, lala, dustismo) * *...if you find a font in a other format than ttf then mayhe you can try converting it to ttf?, or even create your own (there are many free programs to do this available on sourceforge.net/freshmeat.net). Best would of course be to choose an open source font which supports as many languages (and characters, letters, digits, glyphs, symbols, ideograms, logograms, etc.) as possible can use ![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unicode_typefaces |

See: Nope, the DVD logo refers to the source, while the XVID logo refers to the video codec being used. So if i rip a DVD to, let's say, an .avi file using the XVID codec, it should both display the DVD logo (source media) and XVID logo (used video codec). I know some other skins are mixing up those two, but it never made sense to me? Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting. Homey Wrote:OK, that's it. It official. I'm dumping all my other skins for this one. It's TOTALLY gorgeous and Ronie actually listens to his users - something that some other skinners could take notice of. I'll gladly take your offer Homey !! Changing the fonts is something i'd like to do, but there's tons of other things on my todo list as well. So any help is appreciated. As for the fonts, please check Gamester17's reply. I'm loving this and MiniMeedia.Yes, already taken care of. :-) maocul Wrote:Harping on with media info here. I think having that info also on the OSD would be useful. I have found times when my audio equipment has needed a switch of setting to accomodate the encoding of a file, I know that info is readily available in other places already, but being able to bring up the OSD and check what formats are currently being used could be handy.I'll have to check if that's possible. In xbmc not all database information is available in all the views. Maybe the on-screen info window (press 'i' on remote during playback) would be a better place instead of the OSD ? maocul Wrote:I know you didn't design the look of the OSD and that you have mentioned not being graphically minded, but I'd really like to see the OSD redesigned. It would give the skin some more of its own identity. I love that the usability of PM3.HD is retained, it was one of the features that kept me going back to it. But this skin is just sleekierish. <-- Thats a word, honest. What i would really like is to somehow combine the OSD, the full screen info window and the dialog seekbar. I don't see the point in having three separate windows available when playing a movie.....but possibly other users have a different opinion on this. maocul Wrote:Can the Watched icon ticky thing be moved to next to episode title rather than layed over the episode image?Good point, i like the idea. Suppose it should be possible, so i'll have a go with it today. Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting. You're clearly better at reading my mind than I am at writing it down!!! Thats pretty much exactly what I mean. I only ever use the 'i' info box during playback anyway!!! Good work on the rest of this I'm looking forward to testing it out on my live library at home!
