Reverting....

Ok, so I tried updating and first thing that comes up is that checksum isn't correct (for the 85 release) and then the 98 release won't download so I'd like to revert back to r28256 which was working perfectly fine and crystalhd showed up, can anyone tell me how to do this?

I want to do this as well... I think there used to be a good thread on it but seems like that may have been lost in the forum crash.

Here's how to install nightlies manually:

ssh into atv, e.g.:
ssh frontrow@appletv.local
download dmg (here r30938)
wget http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/osx/xb...nk-x86.dmg
download update script:
wget http://atv-xbmc-launcher.googlecode.com/..._update.sh
Make update script executable:
chmod +x xbmc-9.04_update.sh
run update script with dmg as parameter:
./xbmc-9.04_update.sh xbmc-r30938-trunk-x86.dmg

I reverted back to r30995 because the versions before that (but after 28256) had the 'exit status 10' error when on the screensaver.

Does anyone know where I can get the dmg for r28256?

I checked there before posting... unfortunately the one I want is no longer on there.. it had remained there for a while since it was the latest release that handled CrystalHD the best (I presume), but now the earliest available there is r30+

Where can you get the nightlies for linux?
I currently run Ubuntu on my appletv and am wondering if there is a better way then just compiling from SVN source.
