I watched a new season of a TV show yesterday and noticed that every episode has a small white line at the bottom. When I watch an episode with a player on my normal pc I see nothing.
Does anyone have an idea what the problem is here??

Ok that seems fine, I was expecting to see a difference in height, could you provide a sample file?

Right confirmed, this problem only appears when using VDPAU, but mplayer doesn't suffer from the same problem when using VDPAU, I reencoded the file and the white line was gone as well, strange.

So this is a bug??
Or isn't this possible to fix and should I reencode the files?

It's definitely a bug in something, but it's difficult to figure out what the problem is, you get the same white line when using VDPAU and play apple movie trailers, and that bug has been around for two years now.
If you want to get it fixed now, your best bet is to reencode the files.
