iaccording ms... see link
http://support.microsoft.com/default.asp...-us;932244 especially the NFS server is not included in the new SUA "Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications" so the alternative would be cygwin that also has some issues .. as reported in other forums http://www.csparks.com/CygwinNFS/ there is a 2GB limit and under xp it is much slower then SFU "Services for UNIX" alternative not tested yet.. http://freenfs.sourceforge.net/ |

I think Hanewin NFS Server is what people like to use for Windows 7. I've never used it myself.
I did get NFS working very well with Windows Home Server using Services for Unix. So far it seems to have cleared up all my stuttering issues both in XBMC and on a WDTV Live box. For anyone with a compatible version of Windows, this is how I did it (see my post midway down this page): http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=91776&page=15 |

I haven't tried it but does Tvix Netshare software work with XBMC ?
It was developed for Tvix media players which used NFS primarily, it's pretty easy to setup and install however it only allows sharing up to 4 entries. |
