Hi
Is now in the latest version of XBMC dts-hd supported or not?
Changelog: Added support to identify DTS-HD (DTS-HD MA and DTS-HD HRA) profiles in the audio stream list.
What does this mean? I have no way to activate the option, it is only AC3 and DTS to choose.
When will now supporting HD Sounds?
XBMC Eden 11 Beta 1 DTS-HD/TrueHD

identification works, but no playback. this means that xbmc can show you the right flag in you library, but playback will unfortunately only be added somewhere in the future

honestly, hd sound formats are available since 2008 or even earlier. rather silly features, that no man needs...

i read that it´s not easy to use hd-sound without paying any licencefees to dolby. it should have been implemented to eden, but the coder had private problems and though he couldn´t finish it.
BUT there are some ways to use HD-sound with an external player.

1 of the reasons why i use a external player for blu-ray and use the internal player only for my .mkv TV-Shows.
also the internal player has a issue with subs in blu-ray movies (remux of full blu-ray movies) Windows 7, 64-bit | XBMC Frodo | Aeon Nox | MONEUAL 320B (not working remote and display:angry:, yet) | Intel® Core i5 CPU 661 | Sapphire HD 6570 1GB DDR3 Onkyo TX-SR875 | Teufel System 5 THX Cinema 5.1 HP Microserver N40L WHS 2011 8TB ![]()

mischga Wrote:@frieten ok cheers gonna look into this, im assuming you can set it up to just run straight from XBMC and when you load the mkv from XBMC it loads an external player? im sure theres a thread around here somewhere i just can't find it lol. |
