How do we change over?

Hey DejaVu.

This weekend I got my server switched over to Ubuntu, and then got all my stuff back up and running.

I pulled your repo down into its own location in my web root. Its currently extremely messed up in Firefox. Looks like this:

Same exact setup in Chrome:
Image

Soooo yeah, that's pretty weird.

The other specific issue I have found so far is that your repo wants to use the URL
http://home.houseofgeeks:9091/transmission/rpc/
for Transmission. This doesn't work. The URL
http://home.houseofgeeks.org:9091/transmission/web/
Actually does work.

My stuff is all public facing to PM me if you wanna check it out for your own testing purposes. I REALLY like the crazy slide-out shortcuts and styling you did on your repo, it should become the main repo once we squash the bugs.

Now that I have a working server setup again, and I've got your repo in front of me, I should be able to help debug more stuff.

A few general, non-troubleshooting questions for you guys:
1-Has anyone found a way to get JDownloader running on a headless Linux box?

2-Has anyone looked at modifying the CSS / styling on SickBeard, Headphones, and CouchPotato? Specifically, the default styles for those are all super bright, and then viewed within the MFP frame they look really out of place and silly.

Known bug - but no known fix yet.

Not even sure why Firefox is breaking things. It's not the only issue, hence why Chrome is the only supported browser for MFP unfortunately.

I have tried changing these in the config.php file before, but I could never get it right for some reason. Gugahoi mentioned something to do with enabling RPC in the JSON.SETTINGS file for Transmission a while back, but I could not get it working.

1- Do not quote me on this. But I dont think it can be done yet. I tried the Java version, but it does not initialise without a GUI.

2- Re-styling maybe an option. But IMO, is not really worth it. You can try to re-skin Sickbeard, and I had done it once, but when I updated to the newer version, the changes got overwritten. We could try pulling information and reskinning the way Coming Episodes does it... perhaps.

To be brutally honest, I think just making a few updates to make it usable with Eden might be about the limit for MFP. As much as I hate to admit it. I think it's had it's day, especially since Maraschino has tured up - I'm guessing you have not seen it yet? The 'usual suspects' from here are now over there... Check it out. Smile

Maraschino is the way to go for me too. Development has been quite good there and when the creator comes back I assume it will become even better.

In regards to a headless jdownloader I found this: http://www.headhole.org/2011/02/23/runni...ownloader/

have not tried it yet tho.

Hi people,

I have a problem with my XBMC settings..
I tried a lot of things and searched the whole thread but after a few days i give up and ask you guys whats wrong.

Take a look at the picture and see the error:
Image

it says: XBMC can not be reached. Check your XBMC settings.

In my conf file i have this:

Code:
ProxyPass /xbmc/ http://192.168.178.16:8085/
        ProxyPassReverse http://192.168.178.16:8085/ /xbmc/
        ProxyPass /xbmc/jsonrpc http://192.168.178.16/jsonrpc
        ProxyPassReverse http://192.168.178.16:8085/jsonrpc /xbmc/jsonrpc

And in MFP settings i put after XBMC IP: 192.168.178.16.

Can someone help me with this?

You more likely to get a better response in the Maraschino thread!

XBMC's JSON API did not respond.

Check your configuration (config.php) and that the JSON service variable is configured correctly and that the Service is running.

I am getting this as an error with Beta Eden.

This is fixed but I still have trouble with transmission. Is that going to be updated to work soon?

Support and development on MFP has slowed right down - to a stop to be honest, in favour of Maraschino.

But I like this more than that.

Hard to use I think...and modules just disappear

Hi, sorry to be back but the latest version of xbmc (rc1) I get:
Code:
XBMC could not be reached.

Can we get that fixed?

Thanks!

Can you tell me how you fix the json api problem?
