[RELEASE] SportsDevil - Watch Live Sports and Highlights

Is there any way to edit the menu's/thumbsizes and channels available? I dont use the blog or TV features for example, and would just like the options to display only the favourites and live tv streams in the first menu.

Would anyone/max be able to fix the coolsportz addon in the live sports section?

i'm new into the xbmc-world, trying to get sportsdevil running. On my ATV2 it works really fine, really an excellent addon.

On my PC (Win7, 64-bit,Eden) I got an error. The log says there is a file cookies.lwp missing, but in the required directory the file is available. Any ideas?

I'm using an ATV2 and I myself am having this problem and trying to figure out how to fix it. Anybody have a solution?

I think the title of this entry should actually read: "SportsDevil - Pull Your Hair Out While Trying to Find Actual Streams to Watch Live Sports and Highlights. You Won't Find Many With This Add-on."

Can we actually get some providers listed here whose streams work for streaming? I'm tired of having baseball listings return with no feed, StreamTorrent links, or flash streams that don't work. Tried to watch Arena football this weekend, and the Ustream links won't even kick into action through here.

This is a lemon of the first degree if you actually want to watch live sports streaming.

I have just discovered this plugin and installed 1.7.4.2 on both my windows and linux installations that run xbmc

For the same sample stream that I play, the stream (espn2) works fine on my Windows 7 x64 box, however I am unable to get any stream to work with my Linux box (which unfortunately is my lounge room front end). Are there any special requirements for Linux flavours of xbmc to get this addon to work? When I say 'work', the addon runs fine....but I am unable to actually successfully play a working stream on my Gentoo distro. I know flash is fine as my YouTube addon works without issue

here the log when i try to play a stream that works on my windows box but not from my Linux (x64 Gentoo) frontend, on XBMC 11

Then how about instead of complaining like this over something that is completely free and developed by people in their spare time, you actually step up and contribute something to correct the problem?

So you complain, complain, complain then ask that we get a working provider list, but you FAIL to actually post any of your working/not working results. You can only be spoon fed for so long my friend. If broken streams are going to make you "pull your hair out" then you will be bald right before you go back to paying for cable. That is the nature of this add on. Streams change, providers change. The only thing that stays the same are the devs putting their time in to make this addon work for us as well as it does. The only thing lemon like is your sour comments and unhelpful jabs towards the people who made this happen.

1st: I joined in March, but have been around longer than that. I've had XBMC operating on multiple computers over the past four years. I joined in March to get a handle on the Linux side, after jettisoning Windoze. And, I've asked two questions in forums that drew, exactly, ZERO answers. That's a very helpful community, there.

2nd: Since it went over your head: It's easy to point out what's not working: none of the baseball links. Nothing that is flash oriented. FirstRowSports.eu provides no links, just schedules. Can't even get a schedule off CoolSportz. Basketball? In 10 days, I've gotten all of 1 link to actually bring up a game. None of the American football links. I couldn't even get the pre-TV portion of the Masters to play through SportsDevil yesterday morning.

So, tell me what works...Because I'm not finding anything.

I offered an assessment I hope helps people not waste their time with an add-on that doesn't work. Its the type of add-on that makes people sour on using XBMC and search for other answers that will work. The author has a great idea in place, but what good is it to promote that it has all these links for streams...only to have there be no streams for them to use.

"...work as well as it does" The point is it doesn't work. Period.
