No Audio through HDMI after XBMC upgrade
#1
Hi I am totally stumped on this one...

I just recently updated my XBMC version to 10.1 and everything seems to be working fine, but for whatever reason my sound stopped working through HDMI. I had been running my previous version of XBMC for months previous with no issues. My original install was done following this tutorial tutorial.

Oddly enough when I do aplay -l I no longer see HDMI in the listed devices I get only two devices. I believe my HDMI used to be under device 3 before the upgrade.

Code:
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: ALC882 Analog [ALC882 Analog]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 1: ALC882 Digital [ALC882 Digital]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

Here are all my current specs. Please help I'm totally stumped on this one.

Code:
Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS
Release:    8.04
Codename:    hardy

kernel - 2.6.24-28-generic

NVRM version: NVIDIA UNIX x86 Kernel Module  270.41.06  Mon Apr 18 14:54:25 PDT 2011
