[RELEASE] TV Time (Video) Addon Version 2.0
Another issue. I have setup 12 channels of varying genres and stationns. No matter what I do I get some that just do not show up. For instalce a channel set to genre "Animation" just doesn't appear OR produce any M3U files for the channel. Even if I completely clear the cache and try again it's just skipped.

I then created a smart playlist for animation instead and that worked but now another channel doesn't show up and the same deal.

Little dissapointing as I spent a lot of time setting up channels and syncing across the machines and now I might just have to switch back to Pseudo until the developer has more time to continue with this one.

Livin Wrote:TvTime just hangs at 10% (meter stay on screen) when I run it. It pops up a black borderless box in the middle of the screen (I can still see the skin around it).

I can still navigate the skin but I must kill XBMC to get the meter and black box off the screen.

This requires a code change to the ChannelList.py file.

Download an updated ChannelList.py from the below:

http://www.digitalvideocalibrations.com/tvtimeFix/

Right click the file name and 'Save As'

Then replace the existing file with what you downloaded here.

Basically the problem was undefined variables. I updated the variable references to the correct ones.

I have an issue I wonder if anyone else has had. When I exit TVTime, focus does not go back to XBMC. I have to issue a 'XBMC.ActivateWindow(home)' command from the remote control for it to get focus. I can see the XBMC screens and all and you can hear the remote control trying to control it, it just doesn't do anything until I give it focus via remote.

What version of TV time is this fix intended for? I ask because many of us are using various builds depending on which ones work "best" for us. Myself for an instance--I was sticking with an early 2.0 version of the script due to it being best for commercials and bumpers (no right arrow bug) but have recently been testing out the 2.2.0 version. Does this fix work with that version or the latest 2.2.22 version (IIRC)?

My fix is based on the most recent 2.2.22.

Using PsuedoTV to hold me over but really hoping I can find a fix for this as I love TVtime

Hello,

I think that there are a couple different reasons that this may happen. The one that I had trouble with was when one of my channels tried to load a show that did not have any episodes that qualified for the channel. For instance, if you have a channel that contained the show CSI and you had a rule to exlude watched episodes, if all of the episodes were flagged as watched, the channel would stick and would never progress to the next channel.
Hope this may help you.

Mark

Thank you!

Thanks to this fix I am now able to run the latest version of the addon, 2.2.22! the program runs to completion (although it does seem to take a longer time than previous versions) and as far as I can tell it just works.

Now if only we could find out what is going on with the right arrow bug in the EPG and figure out why I'm having trouble getting trailers to play, I'd be a happy man!

Speaking of the trailers, I'm starting to suspect that I'm doing it wrong somehow. I have a bunch of movie trailers I downloaded from Youtube in MP4 format in a folder at the root of C:\ just like I do with the Logos, Bumpers and the Commercials folders, but unlike the commercials or the bumpers I never seem to see any trailers. Are there any specific instructions on how we're supposed to be using them?

Otherwise I love this addon! Thanks for sharing your fix with us!

EDIT: Also, I noticed that the first time it builds channels it only makes twenty channels based on genres then when you exit the program and configure it to find networks and etc it will build a second time, with all the channels. Not sure if this is expected behavior or not.

Yes. I believe that I can verify the same issue.

My environment: Win7 64 bit, XBMC pre-11 (recent nightly), TV Time 2.2.22

(... and for that matter, a new user of TV Time as well)

While it does not seem to be constant, while watching a show in TV Time, when I press "ok" on my remote (sending an "enter" keystroke), the TV Time menu will appear, however, it seems to be stuck in mid process. I say this, as it does not display the yellow vetical line that indicates the time.

As mentioned by the user above, the sound of the remote "moving" is heard, but no changes occur on the TV Time Menu.

I can't remove the menu from the screen, and my only choice is to crash the XBMC application and relaunch.

As I said, it does not appear to be consistant, but happens often enough to be problematic.

I am using tv time with ice library and i love it. The one down fall is the waiting time for megaupload.

Is there anyway to play a commercial or movie trailer while the movie or tv show is loading?
