Hi,

fairly newbie here, so be kind!

I have an ATV2 with XBMC running fine, with loads of plug ins and loads of info on my media library already scraped. My question is if I want to buy another ATV for another room, is it possible to backup XBMC from the already set up one and restore onto the new one, saving all the hassle of setting it up again as I want it?

(I did try and search, but either got errors on my search or couldnt find what I was looking for!)

Backup the userdata folder on the ATV2 that is set up
Location: /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata
Then copy the backup over to the new ATV2 in the equivalent location

you will need to change the ownership on the folder to mobile:mobile in order for everything to work as expected

2. Restore ios, jb
3. Install xbmc
4. Restore backup
5. Do what i said above
