Ok, I have been trying to figure this out for a while now, but how can I make it to where I can keep Eset's firewall up and still connect to xbmc using the remote? I have searched and searched until my head hurt, but I can't find anything for it. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have eset firewall currently, but I remember that there was modes firewall worked in (automatic, rule based, interactive itd). You have to be in mode that support rules and then add rule in firewall for XBMC.exe to allow incoming and outcoming traffic on TCP port that your XBMC is configured to (by default it is 80 or 8080 I think).
