<allowoverlay> doesn't work anymore?

i've tryed to set to "no" the <allowoverlay> tag in mymusicsongs.xml and home.xml but the music overlay come out anyway in both window.
is there anything wrong? a bug? does it work only for videos?
tnx in advance.
