Revo 3700 arriving today
#1
Hi all. After costing up individual components I decided it would be best to stick with an off-the-shelf box and went for the £185 deal for the Revo 3700 Linux 2GB box. I have already prepared a USB drive to change the O/S to windows, but...

Would I be better just sticking live on it? I would prefer this I think, but do I need windows installed to get the full mkv 1080p capabilities (and net tv hd streaming) or would a live installation to the HD work as well?

I know linux can play 1080P just like windows...
No problems there...
some users use XBMC Live from a Pen Drive...
Take a look at OpenElect version of XBMC...
its for linux too but many refer to what XBMC Live should have been!

but for HD Web Streaming,
Linux doesnt play nice with Microsoft SIlverLight so,
no stable NetFlix-HD for now....
