I am using XBMC 10.1 to watch BBC HD programs recorded by MythTV from a DVB-S source.

Most programs play fine however a few do not - symptoms are after selecting the MPG file in the files browser and pressing play the 'working' graphic displays for a few seconds then stops. Pressing play again this repeats. Sometimes restarting XBMC allows the program to be played.

The files play ok in VLC so I guess it is a XBMC/video issue. It is been happening for several months - any suggestions?

First attempt to play the file works fine, but after a stop then restart it doesn't play (and behaves as described above).
