Question
Can get a Zotac Zbox with an intel atom D525 and nVidia Ion2 for around $200. Good deal or am I better off building my own media center? I want something small if possible.

Zotacs are good...
depends on what you need as usual,,,
they wont play 3D movies,,,
they wont bitstream hd-audio....
they wont handle heavy XBMC skins very well (AEON...)

at $200 it comes with RAM and HArd Drive?
you have a link for me?

No I'm sorry it doesn't include ram or HDD. I have a spare HDD and ram is dirt cheap. Either way, I'm looking at $300 max? Could I build something better for that price?

I should also add, I don't care about 3D but 1080 would be nice.

have you checked my HTPC starter guide yet? Tongue

i explain alot of things in there an i suggest builds too!

step#1 is really to decide the form factor you want...

size of a mac mini?
size of those old VHS tape player?
size of an AUdio Video receiver?

then once you have decided, its easier to select a build from my guide...

hope this helps and yes, for $300, i think u can do better by building your own,,,

but decide the form factor first, as this is crucial...
