arghh! I've been playing with this for half and hour and can't get it. The option to show add source is enabled in settings. It shows up under music and under pictures. When I go under Video all I get is the source I originally added, 'recently added movies', 'playlists', and 'video add-ons'.
I tried going back to Confluence skin and same thing. In fact I tried 3-4 skins and same thing.
"Add Source" gone from video, still in music and pictures

Have you got library mode on? If so turn it off.

Any chance you had been using Neon SVN? That sounds similar to some problems Neon SVN users were having. If so, switch to regular Neon and reload XBMC.
