Hi guys im new to the forum. I have for the past 2 weeks been trying to construct the ultimate Media pc for my home theatre.

So not being to tech savvy it has been quite a journey. Basiclly i wanted a great home theatre pc.

Really powerful. Really nice. Real quiet. Really easy and nice to use.

So ended up Building a pc. Nice quad core. Windows 7 and so forth.

Then i came across xbmc and i was so impressed with the look and how easy it seemed.

So i installed. Got it running. Got a nice skin i liked. Then added the library. and it was nothing like the images.

So got ember media manager. Scraped the whole lot and looks fantastic

Now the other night i watched a few movies. Batman and battle la. Just avi files.

Ran smooth looked nice witch was sweet.

Now i got the latest episodes of my fav show tekzilla. Got the hd version. Which is in mp4 i think. And i got some anime in mkv.

And they dont seem to play smooth.

There is like some graphical glitching. Like stuttering or pixilation. Now they play on my macbook pro fine.

So wondering what the issue is. Didn't change my video settings at all.

The pc spec is the following so should have no issues:
*Amd athlon 2 x4 640 2.6ghz quad core
*3gb ddr2 800mhz
*ati 3450 512mb hmi audio gpu (for media centers)
*Hitach 2tb hard drive 5900rpm
*Ocz 600watt psu (so it aint a power issue)

Just not to sure why its doing it.

I tried enabling hardware accel and not much of a differance
