Hey guys!
First of all, let me tel you guys that XBMC is truly the greatest thing since sliced bread. Really. It's amazing.
Now, I just set up a Ubuntu media server with MediaTomb on it.
It's running great.
Now, I try to configure XBMC (UPnP) on my other computers (Windows, Ubuntu, Mac) and I am finding that for some reason XBMC won't download TV shows descriptions for me?
Perhaps I am doing something wrong...
I use FlexGet to download the shows into a "TV" folder on my server; FlexGet creates a sub-folder for each series, and places the files in there with "Series Name - S01E01.avi" as a file name.
I add the video source in XBMC, tell it that it contains TV shows, ask it to run an automated scan, and refresh information for all items in the path...
Then, "Scanning for new content" comes up, but does not seem to do anything... Actually, it "identifies" a Castle episode as something called "The Kilborn File".. Not right.
In my videos source, I only have two TV episodes... I don't think it should take long to scan, analyze the filenames, and download the appropriate info, right?
This behavior is consistent across all platforms I tested.
What am I doing wrong?
Also, it identifies the files as all having a 2522-minute runtime... Not good.
I have setup samba sharing and this does work flawlessly, but I was wondering why UPnP posed a problem...
